Meshuggah changed my perspective on how extreme and complex a band could be, it tested my limits and made me a better person for all of it. Hakke, man, you are by far the most technical drummer this side of Neil Peart I've heard in my life. The rest of the guys are just as unbelieveable. I remember the first time I put in Chaosphere, and I couldn't believe what I was hearing at the time. By far one of my bigger influences. I absolutely love what you do, keep that shit up, don't stop it for nothing.

came across a photo i took of my kid in the Native American Museum of the Smithsonian Institute in D.C. (fantastic place). Theres a larger than life mural of a teenaged member of a tribe near san diego and his Meshuggah t-shirt is featured prominently. You are immortalized in the Smithsonian now, fyi. Wonder how many visitors to the museum know what Meshuggah is, let alone the staff.

woa! i recently listened a lot to catch 33 and even tried to play the opening myself on drums... but everytime i listened to the opening i kind of felt like my pc told me that i have mail xD

now i know why: in autonomy lost there is a noise similar to the thunderbird "you-got-mail-bing" at approximately 15sec. is this noise injected there by intent? it gives me the creeps every time...

Ok, honestly, Meshuggah is the name I spit out when I'm asked who my favourite band is. The drumming is awesome Tomas, "Bleed" is a standout, and the complexity of the surprisingly-sensible lyrics combined with the uncommon times especially of that listened to in Catch ThirtyThree and Nothing undoubtedly reaches a new level in experimental/heavy metal. Jens' vocal techniques are definitely inspiration in part to my vocals. Keep up the good work, missed your Soundwave performance this year but I'll make it to at least one performance some point in my life - music worth moshing for!

Hey, it is just weird that only "Nothing" and "Catch 33" were released in Brazil, but then, people here is in fact dumb in terms of music. Anyway, buying a cd from Amazon is cheaper than buying here. Just one cd at once, or the government will tax the cds in 60% of its value. I hope that "someone above us" to throw some wisdom to the idiots here to pay more attention to MESHUGGAH so that is possible a release of the DVD here. A concert? I don't believe in miracles. Just straight 16th on the double bass, 16ths with the rhythm guitar rhythm on the floor tom, or the guitar rhythm on the floor tom with bass drum 16the filling in the empty spots? Also, why the HH hits at 1:21? Can't wait for you guys to come back to Boston. If you played "I" live, that would do it for me.

That DVD was awesome! The lack of Dancers To A Discordant System or Future Breed Machine made it a little weaker, but not much!

By the way, as you said in the DVD, you would love to play DtADS(dancers..) live, but can't because there isn't a guy who do the whispering vocals. Can't Jens do them? I'm sure he would be as good as Tomas, or so good that as live it won't be noticeable

I was watching this today and I got excited to find I wasn't alone in my style of playing in that I don't count when I play to your music (or any music), rather i 'feel it out' if y ou will. Playing with other people though, they find this very alien and I'm often given scowls because of it and it makes the whole creative process for them very frustrating. It's not that I don't try though

It's very refreshing to hear one of my favorite idols speak what it is on my own mind when Haake says things like this. It is, to me, very inspirational and I'm glad you guys play the music you do, the way you do.
This is similarly with the lyrics as well.

great job on the new site.
